Tuesday is LOCRO DAY

Ahh!  Benty-sinko da Masho!  The official day of locro, that tremendous Argentine dish which tastes so good when there´s a chill in the air.

Not too late to get your ingredients!

Even yanquis can make a locro that brings cheers from argentinos!

Ah yes! Locro! It's heaven in a bowl....by far my favorite traditional dish. We always make a huge pot of it on the 25th and then freeze a bunch of it to have throughout the winter. Yummy!

I absolutely LOVE locro!

Hominy and smoky pig parts in a yummy gravy.

Weird for and Argentine dish... no beef and served with a spicy sauce on the side!

Walking around Recoleta today doing errands, all I saw were bowls of Locro on tables at outdoor cafes.

I don't eat pork/meat so I am missing out on the locro today :)
