You can never have too many passports from too many countries

I still don´t have my Argentine passport ...so I´m not as informed as to the entry/exit rules as you dual guys.

So gimme a hand with this, will ya?

A reader who lives in Buenos Aires writes:

I have (passports from both a European country and an "reciprocity" country). I decided to do my tri-monthly visa rotation in Rio de Janeiro, so I have a flight going from Jorge Newbery to Montevideo to Rio and back. I entered Argentina in those halcyon days of mutual good will when all this talk of reciprocity taxes was just a twinkle in the wallet of the airports minister, so all my stamps are in the (reciprocity) passport. That means that I need to leave the country on my reciprocity passport (if I leave on the European passport they'll ask why there isn't an entry stamp). I plan to enter and leave Brazil on the European, and then come back to Argentina on the European, as well.

So I have a couple of questions:
#1.  As far as I understand, they won't charge me for leaving the country on my European passport (only for entering). Is this correct?
#2.  I have a feeling the ministry for bribes and ridiculous taxes hasn't got their sticky fingers into the Jorge Newbery pie yet anyway, do you know?

Here´s my take on the situation:

#1. If memory serves, those "halcyon" days were more than 90 days ago, weren't they?  If so, have you overstayed?  If you have, they'll charge you a (outbound) overstay penalty no matter which passport ...no matter what your port of exit.  If you´re asking if they will charge you BOTH the reciprocity AND the overstay ...I´d have to say, no.  Just the overstay.

#2. I think the (inbound) reciprocity tax / visa / whatevah is only being charged at Ezeiza ...I´m meeting a fellow yanq tonight, fresh-in from the old country via Aeroparque, so I´ll ask him.

How´d I do?  Anybody else got some advice on this?  Lemme know in the comments.

2- So far the reciprocity fee is only charged at Ezeiza. They say though, when Aerioparque closes for renovations... all those planes will be coming and going from EZE so what about that ? no getting out of paying ?
They are separate fees.. one is a Visa fee coming in from a particular country ( Australia, Canada, US) and the other is a fine of a sort, no? for overstaying ?
We have permanent DNI's but not Argentine Passports, we won't have to pay a reciprocity fee.

Also I haven't actually over-stayed my visa - I've been in and out a few times on my reciprocity passport by boat and by land, I'm just wondering if they're going to charge me now that I'm leaving by air.

The current fee for an overstay is $300AR, leave some extra time at EZE and go to the immigration window to pay it.

And if you would like an English Speaking Airport trip, let us know, we can work out a special off season deal for our C4 Exclusive, much nicer and safer than a taxi.
