I can't promise "you all of the above" but I can guarantee you that there will be a VERY central location for gathering on Friday, 4 July 2008!
(I'll also work on gettin' you all the fixins for a real dog... no matter what you want on it.)
Clear your calendar for a 4th of July in Buenos Aires Argentina with Yanqui Mike.
...anybody interested in a Bloody Mary Bar?

hello mike
i'm from La Plata
i found your blog while i was reading Clarín online
i'm glad to read that you will be in the Democratic Con., because i'm very interested on this year' election (specially after the 04 disappointment.. like everbody)
i love the page, but i have a sort of confusion on where some information & other things are, because the distribution seems to be tangled up (no offense!)
- what i actually enjoy is to read your love for Buenos Aires -
and of course...
what do you think about the both parties primaries?
saludos from La Plata,
martín.-
We're due for a major redesign ...keep in touch!
Wish I could make it for this 4th...I'd go the NY way, with spicy brown mustard and kraut...It is common to put mayo and broken potato chips on an Argentine dog.
Martin...please don't
forget the Libertarians this election cycle, we could have an impact this time around!
Fred
mike,
i'll be reading you
fred,
what kind of impact do you mean?
i remember the green party case in the '00. Nader has been crictized for having "stolen the election" from Al Gore. Only in a narrow election can happen this disgraced event...
in my opinion, it's a big mistake... the third party (whatever the case may be: Green', Libertarians, Constitution Party...) is a civil right, always.
i don't think that Liberarians can win, but... you think you can become the third major party?
so...-what kind of impact you say you could have this time?
read you later
martin.-
Hi Martin,
It's too early right now to tell the impact, if we can get in the debates, that could be Big, very big. The debate commitee is run by both big parties, and they don't like competition. We need
15% to get in, so that will be tough. 3rd parties have won before, for example Jessie Ventura won in MN, only after debating IN the debates. I can tell you there is a lot of dissatification with both candidates right now...We will have to wait and see...Do you like Christina Martin?
I'm not sure if Libertarians can become major, we have only 1% in a presidential race an 11% for Governor...A big hill to climb.
Caio for now
All the best...Fred
Martin,
For you a link

fred,
i just read the link. thank you -
i didn't know the exact numbers of Libertarians. but the article is very clear about the chanches that will be in play. as you say, if Libertarians (or other parties) can get into the debates, it will be a victory itself. that's the importance of the mass media, since kennedy vs nixon in the '60
about Cristina... I don't know what to say. i didin't vote her, but i was expecting a good period, specially because is a woman and she is like a mirror of others political women (in people's opinion). more hope than reasons? maybe. something's gotta give. the goverment or the farmers or both of them. mike can tell us more about that than me
