Another Splendid Evening at Drinking Liberally Buenos Aires!
With the cold wave breaking, more folks are turning out for Drinking Liberally! Great to see our stalwart regulars like Sculptor Dave and his wife Artist Jamye. Our new regular, Javier, brought great porteño perspective to the discussion. Our co-host, Fred Badagani was on hand with his account of acquiring a Citroen C6 for his business, Silver Star Car. Newcomers Bernice and Kathy from Australia joined in with inquiries regarding all the great things that a visit to Argentina can bring! Great fun.
There's always someone new at Drinking Liberally ...all the more reason for you stop by next Monday and every Monday ...always the same place ...always the same time.
Politics tonight took a backseat to a comparison of Argentine and US history ...and a comparison of French and US automobiles! Business matters and and the nuts and bolts of making a life in Buenos Aires were well discussed ...and I got a chance to describe my missus' and my anticipated transition from city-life to full-time living on our ranch.
Drinking Liberally Buenos Aires, now in its third year, has become a salon more than ever. People come to seek information and advice regarding making a life in this wonderful country ...and there´s never any shortage of our folks willing to discuss their lives here and what it took to build them.
After sharing a taxi with Fred, I walked down Avenida Santa Fé and took a moment to marvel at this city that has become my home. I shook my head in wonder at how the broken paving stones had long ago become more familiar to me than the sidewalks of my Chicago. Whether you've been here for a decade or a day, no one needs to tell you that life is better in Baires!
Drinking Liberally Buenos Aires is a special bunch ...and there is always room for more! No rules, no members, no leaders, no fear, just beer! If you consider yourself a liberal, you´re among friends.
Hope to see you again ...or for the first time! ...next Monday and every Monday at 7:30 at:
