One of my favorite survival tools has always been the City of Buenos Aires' interactive map at: http://mapa.buenosaires.gov.ar
Recently, a beta version has been added for your examination ...and Man! is it ever great!
The old map was chock-full of great features that Google just doesn't have... subte stops, train stations, barrio boundaries, etc.
Well, the new map has all of that and some really great routing features that help you find your way whether walking, driving, taking the subte, or the surface trains.
I haven't used the new map terribly much since its inception ...so I don´t know if they've beefed-up their servers (my only complaint about the old version was that sometimes there were simply too many users on for them to keep up with demand.)
It doesn't seem to work on my blackberry ...so I won't be giving up Google Maps anytime soon. But for planning a foray across unfamiliar parts of our fair capital, this really gives the Guia T a run for its money!
Hooray! Lemme know what you think of it.
...and now it's off to catch the franchutes opening their doors at L'Epi for some fine bread before my missus wakes up for breakfast! Chau!

Very cool. I used to use this, but then it just got excruciatingly slow.
I like the new options. I am going to have to give this map a second look.
I love the option of looking for establishments (restaurants, health, auto service, etc.) within the area that you have open.
