How to Vote in the January 2009 Democrats Abroad Argentina Elections

(This Info Last Updated on Dec. 19, 2008)

Deadline for voting: unknown.

What we know is that all voting will have taken place by the time of the Annual General Meeting on January 31, 2009. How close you can come to that date and still get your ballot counted is unknown.

How early can you vote? All ballots will be sent to members no later than January 21, 2009. Can you vote right away?

10 days is not very much time for the Argentine post office to get your ballot to the voting address.

Where to send your ballot: unknown.

What we do know is: you will be able to return your ballot by snail mail, by fax, or by hand. The postal address and fax number where your ballot will be accepted will be announced as part of the ballot you receive by email or post. You will not be allowed to vote by email.

An additional uncertainty: will you be able to post (mail) your ballot from a country other than Argentina?

One more uncertainty: will someone other than you be able to deliver your ballot to the eventually approved/announced street address.

All ballots will be emailed on or before January 21st. If you haven't received your ballot via email by that date, it is as yet unknown if it will be too late to request a ballot. Members that do not have an email address on file with Democrats Abroad will be mailed a ballot via the Post Office.

Deadline to Return your Ballot: As Yet Unknown

All voting will have taken place by the time of the Annual General Meeting on January 31st, 2009, meaning that no voting will take place at the meeting. It is unknown what date ballots will no longer be accepted.

How to Return your Ballot:

You may return your completed, signed ballot via Post Office mail, fax, or hand delivery. No voting will be allowed by email. The postal address and fax number for voting will be announced as part of the ballot that you will receive.
