...it's off to the cows for me this weekend.
But one of the lines in the WaPo article got me to thinking...
Everybody talks about great steak and great wine at unheard of cheap prices yet there are restaurants now in which you can't hear anyone speaking Castellano!
How 'bout compiling a list of our favorite steak joints in the neighborhoods far from the tourist track where you can be assured of being the only extranjero there?
Give it some thought. See you Monday (no olvidés, es feriado!)

Mike, I like this idea, although some of my picks will undboubtedly be in the suburbs. Of course, if we do this, then we'll be seen as trying to keep it all to ourselves ;-)
By the way, I heard some talk the other day that Cabana Las Lilas now has a "special" menu and pricing directed at tourists...at a much higer price.

I agree, be greedy, keep it quiet.
Although, there is a great parilla with locals and toursits on Defensa, 500-700 quadra. I have no idea what the name is, but huge line up. same side as the plaza.
It isn't like LOMO, but comforting.
