When I heard that they always have automobile accidents while driving in foreign countries ...I lent them my personal charm, my battered old holy card of San Expedito for their trip deep into the interior of our fair República.
It worked! They logged a few thousand kilometros and returned to Drinking Liberally to announce they were collision free.
My "San Expedito del Bolsillo" is now in the hands of Karina of SilverStarCar.com and should be back with me in time for my next foray into the province.
